Tell us a little about yourself:
I’m a biomedical scientist trained in Belgium, Singapore and now UK since 2018. I joined the laboratory of Dr. Soyon Hong as a postdoctoral scientist to study how different cellular components of the immune system contribute to health and disease, and how defective functioning of these cells potentially lead to neurodegeneration. In addition to my passion for science, I have great interest in airplanes, beers, music and football.

Why did you choose to work in dementia?
Dementia is still underfunded and understudied, and so there is much to discover about this devastating disease. I am passionate about trying to unravel how the immune system contributes to dementia.
