Tell us a little about yourself:
I’m a community physiotherapist and I’m interested in improving the health and well being of older people, including those living with dementia. My research involves mixed methods including randomised controlled trials, evidence synthesis, qualitative research and implementation. Everything I do is grounded in patient and public involvement and engagement.

I used to be a health agony aunt for a magazine called ‘People’s friend’
Why did you choose to work in dementia research?
Many of my older patient’s in the NHS have dementia alongside a range of other health and social problems. It is important to focus on the needs of the person and those around them whatever their diagnosis

Don’t give up – develop strategies to help you be more resilient
