Tell us a little about yourself:

I am a qualified physiotherapist and epidemiologist, and part time research fellow at the University of Oxford and Kellogg college as well. My research interests are on intersection of multimorbidity (multiple long term conditions), ageing, frailty, exercise medicine, and chronic pain. Using large electronic health records, I explore the unanswered complexities of multimorbidity research, primarily focusing on musculoskeletal conditions and dementia. I have nearly a decade experience in doing multimorbidity research in both developing and developed countries. My PhD was on Musculoskeletal Epidemiology from the University of Nottingham, UK. My special interest is on longitudinal epidemiology of multimorbidity and polypharmacy. In my work I  collaborate with multiple universities in the UK and globally. My aim is to improve the Global Primary Care Research in Rheumatic and Musculoskeletal conditions.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself:

I can play badminton for long hours or run 100m in less than 12 sec.

Why did you choose to work in dementia research?

Interest in LTMCs.

What single piece of advice would you give to an early career researcher?

Network, collaborate, learn and have a vision.
