Tell us a little about yourself:

Since my undergraduate studies in medicine, I have been deeply interested in the well-being of individuals with dementia. This curiosity sparked even more questions about how to better understand and improve their care. That’s why I became involved in research, which has provided me with valuable tools to bridge the gap between academia and my clinical practice, where I work directly with patients. As a psychiatrist, my commitment to patient well-being remains unchanged. This has led me to focus on neuropsychiatric symptoms, which are associated with higher comorbidity, increased hospitalization rates, and even greater mortality.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself:

I always follow the same order when eating my breakfast.

Why did you choose to work in dementia:

It is a challenge that involves both public health and clinical skills. Moreover, due to demographic changes, I see it as a call to which I feel responsible to respond.
