Tell us a little about yourself:
My work aims to inform policy through incorporating economic research into a variety of research designs, including randomised control trials, simulation models of cost-effectiveness, discrete choice experiments and econometric analysis of observational datasets.
I am also the current editor of Alzheimer’s & Dementia.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself?
I love marine mammals and will go to great extents to spend time in the water with them.
Why did you choose to work in dementia?
I have been researching the economics of brain health and dementia since my PhD started in 2008. Motivations were family members with dementia and observing poor system configuration.
What single piece of advice would you give to an early career researcher?
Inherent talent is not enough. Be organised with how you plan your work. And keep your passion by focusing on what excites you.
