Small Research Grant Program for the Next Generation of Researchers in AD/ADRD

NIH LogoThis NIH Small Research Grant (R03) program supports vital projects. It aims to advance the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and care for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (AD/ADRD). This Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) encourages a broad range of research topics linked to AD/ADRD.

The primary goals of this NOFO are twofold:

  1. To inspire the next generation of researchers to pursue careers in AD/ADRD research.
  2. To motivate established researchers without major AD/ADRD awards to conduct pilot studies. These studies should develop innovative AD/ADRD research programs based on their existing expertise.

We strongly encourage individuals from diverse and underrepresented backgrounds to apply. Researchers who have not won an award under this or previous announcements should particularly consider applying.
