Widening the search for new dementia treatments

March 18 @ 1:00 pm - 1:45 pm

ALZHEIMER'S RESEARCH UK Logo

Many of our scientists are focussed on developing treatments that can slow down or stop the diseases that cause dementia.

This work is vital, as currently there are no drugs available on the NHS that can do this. To change this, scientists know they need to target the condition from different angles. They need to develop treatments for all types of dementia. And this will give them the best chance of improving the lives of people affected by dementia.

Join us to hear from Dr Emma Mead about the work of our Drug Discovery Alliance, and Dr Joyce Huang about the potential benefits of repurposing existing treatments for other conditions. They’ll answer your questions and highlight the ways we’re widening the search for new dementia treatments.

  • Join us online for free – the event will be on Zoom, so you can attend from anywhere.
  • Ask your questions – you can send them in before the event or ask live during it.
  • Missed it live? No problem. We’ll record it so you can watch it later.
Register to Attend

The event is open to everyone, and no previous knowledge of dementia or research is required.
