From Italy to Leeds: my (not always easy) life in Academia

After studying at the University of Trento in Italy, I moved to Luxembourg for my doctoral studies, where I discovered the frustrating side of academic research. Despite promising myself to leave Academia after my PhD, here I am today, loving my job as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Leeds.
Postdoc: Expectations vs reality

I completed my PhD in Immunology in 2017 and soon after left France to start a postdoc in Leeds. Being a postdoc is definitely both amazing and frustrating, mostly because of the huge gap between my expectations and the reality.
