QMUL – Centre for Preventive Neurology Launch Symposium 2024

04/03/2024 @ 9:30 am - 6:00 pm

Queen Mary University of London Logo

Join us for our inaugural symposium which celebrates the launch of our new Centre for Preventive Neurology (CPN) at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL).

The CPN is committed to investigate the early detection of neurodegenerative diseases including Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, and dementia; studying simple interventions to prevent or delay neurological disease onset; and creating diverse clinical cohorts within East London. We are delighted to showcase the cutting-edge research carried out by our early career researchers and guest speakers, all of whom will address the themes of early detection and biomarkers; early interventions in neurological diseases; and addressing inequalities and shaping government policy. We are honoured to invite Professor Paul M. Matthews (Imperial College London, UK) and Professor Claudia Cooper (QMUL, UK) as our guest speakers and Professor Bas Bloem (Radboud University, Netherlands) who will deliver the keynote talk.

The symposium provides a platform for knowledge exchange, discussion and networking. This event is designed for healthcare professionals, academics, clinicians, publishers, policymakers, potential supporters, and industry stakeholders. We will produce dedicated materials to share with our patient and public collaborators and contributors after the event.

Please note that this event will not offer a hybrid option, making it an ideal opportunity for in-person engagement.
