Alzheimers Society Doctoral Training Centre for Integrated Care PhD Studentships

The Alzheimer’s Society-funded I-Care DTC is an exciting new initiative dedicated to transforming dementia care. Over the next eight years, 29 PhD studentships will be awarded to tackle critical challenges in dementia care across five leading institutions: Queen Mary University of London, University College London, London School of Economics and Political Science, Leeds Beckett University, and University of Plymouth.

What to Expect

  • An overview of the Centre’s mission to integrate health, social care, and community sectors to improve dementia care.
  • Details on the five available PhD studentships for the first cohort starting in October 2025.

    • End-of-life care

Successful candidates will receive a competitive stipend, UK university fees, and additional research and career development funding.

Interviews will be held in person at Queen Mary University of London, Whitechapel Campus on Friday 14th February 2025. We will reimburse reasonable, standard class travel for shortlisted candidates on provision of valid receipts. If attendance in person is not possible, in line with our inclusive ethos we will liaise with shortlisted candidates to enable virtual participation. ICare-DTC and associated institutions are committed to equality, diversity, widening participation and inclusion.
