Mendelian randomisation for causal inference in precision dementia medicine symposium
11/12/2023 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
Mendelian randomisation is a key approach to the causal modelling of observational data and can advance our understanding of dementia risk factors. This in turn helps to address the limitations of clinical trials, which are typically of short duration with limited interventions. However, the implementation of Mendelian randomisation requires great care, and this knowledge transfer event will bring together experts and other interested to move the field of precision dementia medicine forward.
The symposium will take place at the Alan Turing Institute located on the first floor of the British Library, London. Further instructions will be sent to those attending in person. There is also an option to join the symposium online via Zoom.

Abstract submission guidelines
We encourage abstracts submissions on research applying Mendelian randomisation to dementia / cognitive outcome or developing Mendelian randomization methods that could advance causal inference for dementia research.
Oral presentations will be selected from the submitted abstracts.
- The abstract should not exceed 250 words (excluding title and authors)
- The abstract should not contain references, figures, tables or funding information
- No more than 50 authors are allowed, total length of less than 3,000 characters (whichever is shorter)
- One submitter can submit only one abstract (but can be co-author on other submitted abstracts)
- The following structure is recommended: introduction, methods, results, discussion.
Abstract submission
Please submit your abstract via this MS form.
