Innovations in post-diagnosis support

Innovations in post-diagnostic support: The changing role of clinicians, treatments and care interventions

Following the launch of the 2022 World Alzheimer Report ‘Life after diagnosis: Navigating treatment, care and support’, this webinar will explore the innovation taking place in post diagnosis treatment, care and support.

We will be shining a light on the evolving role of clinicians, as an integral part of a care planning team, and asking how potential new drugs might affect their responsibilities.

We will look at non-pharma care and support, at research and innovations in psychosocial support, with global examples from the World Alzheimer Report.

With so many people globally excluded from accessing support, we will ask what more can be done to overcome these barriers, including challenging stigma, the urgency for governments in developing national dementia plans, and ensuring people living with dementia and carers are integral to care plan development.

With additional guest speakers to be announced, panellists will include:

• Paola Barbarino, ADI’s CEO as Chair
• Professor Pedro Rosa-Neto, Co-lead author of the World Alzheimer Report
• Professor Jose Morais, Co-lead author of the World Alzheimer Report
• Birgitta Martensson, Switzerland
• Grazia Dell Agnello
• Dr Yuda Turana, Indonesia

We are pleased to offer AI translation for this webinar in 25 languages: Arabic, Bengali, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Czech, Dutch, English, French, German, Hebrew, Hindi, Indonesian (Bahasa), Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Tagalog, Tamil, Thai, Vietnamese. The webinar will be available for viewing on ADI’s YouTube channel after the event.
