In vitro cell culture models: Moving towards animal free

Exploring Cell cultures, scaffolds, growth factors, cancer, disease models, organoids, bioprinting and organ on a chip

Join us for this one day meeting where we bring the 2D/3D cell culture research community together to discuss the current challenges, recent successes and future opportunities in moving towards animal free research.

Confirmed Keynote Speakers include:

  • Dr Carol Treasure, XCellR8
  • Professor Eirini Velliou, University College London
  • Professor Julie Gough and Aline Miller, University of Manchester

You will also have the option to submit a 150 word abstract to present your work either as an oral contribution, a flash poster talk or as a poster. Submissions for flash posters and oral presentations have now closed but please indicate if you would like to submit an abstract for a poster. The deadline is 6 September at 5pm. Prizes will be offered for the best ERC contribution in each category.

This meeting has been organised by the University of Manchester and The Humane Research Trust.
