Emerging Scientists in Epigenetics & Neurobiology

This symposium will bring together early career scientists working at the intersection of neurobiology and epigenetics for a day of scientific exchange and discussion.
We are excited to hear from early career scientists, especially post-doctoral fellows, working in the field of gene regulation in the brain, including those investigating transcription & chromatin regulation, 3D genome architecture, and genome rearrangements or modifications in the context of brain plasticity, neural activity, neuron identity, or behaviour.
The event will serve as a catalyst for scientific interactions in the growing field of genome regulation in the brain and introduce the invited scientists to the research carried out at EMBL Rome. An introductory lecture will be given by Sarah Marzi (Imperial College, London) followed by talks from 6-8 selected early career scientists.
EMBL is an international organisation supported by 28 member states that carries out fundamental life science research and provides scientific services at six sites across Europe. EMBL Rome currently hosts six research groups supported by extensive core facilities and addresses questions of relevance to epigenetics and neurobiology. EMBL’s unique faculty turnover system means that we are recruiting new research groups on a regular basis.
The event will take place on November 3, 2023 at EMBL Rome.
