ECR Workshop: How to Get Your Research Published by VasCog

Publishing is an integral part of scientific research, and a strong publication record underpins a successful research career. To support Early Career Investigators in this process, The International Society of Vascular Behavioural and Cognitive Disorders (VasCog) is offering a 1.5-hour workshop in collaboration with Cerebral Circulation – Cognition and Behaviour (CCCB), the affiliated house journal of VasCog.
Programme Outline
This workshop will cover the following sections:
- Academic Publishing: What Makes a Manuscript Publishable? – by Dr Atticus Hainsworth, Professor Emeritus Anders Wallins and Dr Riccardo Paracampo who are part of the CCCB Team.
- Academic Writing – Beyond the Science: The Art of Crafting a Publishable Manuscript by Professor Deborah Gustafson.
There will be time for Q&A at the end of the workshop so do bring your questions for our presenters!

Speakers:
- Professor Emeritus Anders Wallin, DMD, is a prominent academic at the University of Gothenburg. He has an extensive expertise in academic research having authored over 512 publications with a research interest score of 15, 070. Professor Wallins is the Chief Editor of CCCB.
- Dr Atticus Hainsworth, PhD, from St George’s University of London is a translational neuroscientist with 30 years of experience. He has published over 153 scientific articles with a research interest score of 2, 057 and is the co-editor of CCCB.
- Professor Deborah Gustafson, PhD, is a Professor at the State University of New York Downstate Health Sciences University, Department of Neurology, Director of Neuroepidemiology; and guest professor at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. She has over 200 publications.
- Dr Riccardo Paracampo, PhD, is part of the Elsevier team that oversees CCCB and has immense experience in publishing.
