Big Research Moments of 2024
December 17 @ 1:00 pm - 1:45 pm
Join Alzheimer’s Research UK this festive season as we look back at the big dementia research news stories of 2024.
This year saw the launch of revolutionary studies that bring us closer than ever to simple blood tests to diagnose dementia. A historic breakthrough in Alzheimer’s treatment was achieved this year, with a new drug approved for use. While it’s not yet available on the NHS, it marks a significant step forward. And the Lancet Commission delivered crucial insights into preventing and reducing the risk of dementia this year.
Joining us to reflect back on this and more are Prof Vanessa Raymont, David Thomas and Jordan Adams. Together, we will explore the progress that has been made this year and what it means for people affected by dementia.
