Join us for the first AD/PD Live Journal Club webinar session discussing Cognitive Impairment in Parkinson´s Disease. During the session, Dr Rutenberg will introduce Dr Aiello and their latest publication “Diagnostic Accuracy of Noun- and Verb-Naming Tasks in Detecting Cognitive Impairment in Parkinson’s Disease” (Neurodegenerative Diseases, Karger Publishers).
The study, led by Edoardo Nicolò Aiello and colleagues, investigates the effectiveness of noun-naming tasks (NNTs) and verb-naming tasks (VNTs) in identifying cognitive impairment in Parkinson’s disease patients.

17:10 to 17:30 Presentation: Dr Aiello will introduce their latest paper and its implications in the field of neuropsychology.
17:30 to 17:45 Discussion: Q&A moderated by Dr Ruitenberg.
Learning Objectives:
– Understand the efficacy and diagnostic accuracy of noun-naming tasks (NNTs) and verb-naming tasks (VNTs) in identifying cognitive impairment in Parkinson’s disease patients, including how these tasks compare statistically and their respective strengths and limitations in clinical settings.
– Gain insights into the study’s recommendation for further research using different standards than the Mini-Mental State Examination, and exploring how to better categorize Parkinson’s disease patients for more effective diagnosis and treatment planning.
