I am a Postdoctoral Research Associate at The University of Liverpool. Currently, and during my PhD I explored inequalities in the care and health outcomes for people living with dementia, and their informal carers. I have extensive knowledge and experience of using both quantitative (big data, data science) and qualitative (interviews, focus groups, thematic analyses) research methods to explore the barriers and facilitators to availability, access to and quality of health and social care services for people living with dementia and carers. I have also been a part of several teams conducting systematic reviews into inequalities in dementia.
We last hear from James Watson back in June 2020, when he updated us on his progress in undertaking a systematic review. James is now in the second year of his PhD, and in his latest blog he updates us on the research he has been doing, how this changed as a result of the pandemic, and how the next phase is more important than ever.
