I love cooking and watching K-dramas. I am also one half of a twin.

Why did you choose to work in dementia research?

I was very surprised at the cultural differences in the approach to dementia care in the UK compared to my country of birth, Trinidad and Tobago.

What single piece of advice would you give to an early career researcher?

As you get entangled in processes, do not lose your curiosity about the world around you.

What book are you reading right now? Would you recommend it?

The 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene. Yes I would recommend it.

Favourite ways to unplug and unwind?

Reading, playing guitar and singing are always my go-to ways to unplug and escape reality for a bit. When reality doesn’t bother me that much but I still need to unwind, going out for a dance or for a nice meal is always a nice choice too.

The Notebook
