Dementia Research Action Group (DRAGON): Network Launch
May 28 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
This event is open and tailored to people with lived experience of dementia, either those living with dementia or family care partners.
There will be opportunities to engage through talks, interactive stalls and networking sessions, including a visit from Liverpool Museum’s House of Memories, the first-ever immersive mobile museum experience in the UK, designed for people living with dementia.
Lunch will be provided and parking is free.
Why are we doing this?
A dementia diagnosis brings many changes, but sharing your experience of living with dementia with researchers and health and social care professionals can make a difference by shaping care, community support and future treatment.
The future of dementia research relies on the involvement and participation of those living with dementia. This input ensures studies are relevant to, and inclusive of the needs of people living with dementia.
How can you help?
Your voice is important to shape current and future research and you don’t need any previous experience of research to get involved.
There are many ways you can share your experience and shape research.
Come join us and learn more about dementia research and our research network.
This event is organised by Dementia United and the University of Manchester.
