In Conversation with … Time for Dementia
Join Dr Stephanie Daley (Brighton and Sussex Medical School) and Thabrez Khan (Alzheimer’s Society) as they share their work with Time for Dementia, described as a novel education programme developed by Brighton and Sussex Medical School, and delivered by Alzheimer’s Society.
The programme aims to prepare the future workforce with the knowledge, attitudes, and empathy needed to provide high quality, and compassionate care to people with dementia.
Time for Dementia is intended to facilitate real-life insight about the lived experience of dementia through contact over time with families living with dementia. Since beginning in 2014, the programme has expanded to include ten different training programmes across eight Universities. To date, over 6,500 students and 2,100 families have taken part.
